On June 16, the National Health Council (NHC) hosted its latest Event Professionals Affinity Group meeting, spotlighting a timely and impactful topic: “The Wellness Effect: How to Implement Wellness Into Events.” The webinar featured a 30-minute presentation by Ashley Brooke James, co-founder of TRILUNA Wellness.
Ashley led an engaging webinar on how to effectively integrate wellness into events, introducing four core pillars of event wellness: inclusive movement, practical mindfulness, immersive experiences, and intentional community.
A central theme was the importance of making wellness activities diverse, accessible, and easy to incorporate into existing event agendas. Rather than requiring large-scale changes, Ashley demonstrated how simple additions—such as stretch breaks, sensory tables, and culturally inspired activities—can meaningfully enhance attendee well-being.
Ashley concluded by sharing practical resources and tools to help planners implement these strategies. She highlighted the rapid growth of the global wellness economy—now valued at $6.3 trillion—underscoring the increasing demand for wellness-centered experiences in events.
The next Event Professionals Affinity Group meeting will be held on September 17, 2026. The topic will be announced soon — register here.
